Marketing Associate
Location: Eau Claire, WI
The Marketing Associate is primarily a support position that responds directly to the Firm Manager. Within this framework, the Marketing Associate will be assisting in and implementing all marketing strategies, as well as spending time in strategic development and research. In addition, there are many administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining client databases, that are also integral to this position.
This position can be full- or part-time.
Compensation will reflect multiple factors, including industry experience, work history, individual character, education, GPA, and reference quality.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (preferred) or business administration from a regionally accredited university
Required Skills:
Excellent communications skills – verbal, written, and listening
Sound knowledge of marketing principles and their application
Demonstrated proficiency in various software, including Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and Photoshop
Ability to work equally well individually or as a team member
Knowledgeable with report writing and business correspondence
Strong organizational skills
Capable of effectively interfacing with individuals at all business levels
Ability to learn industry nuances and strategies
Good project management and project coordination skills
Strong desire to pursue excellence
Capable of seeing ‘the big picture’
Detail oriented
Responsibilities:
Ownership of the Firm’s website and client communications related to marketing
Coordinate various logistical aspects of industry seminars and trade shows
Produce various marketing materials, including presentations, press releases,
brochures, event announcements, and pricing proposals for services
Coordinate the Firm’s sponsorship of various civic and client events
Coordinate various staff events
Coordinate advertising media and the purchase of marketing paraphernalia
Track and trend the awarding of new client accounts/ proposal efficiencies
Research industry trends and product mix in various locations
Assist the Firm Manager in marketing strategies, including expansion potential,
basic demographic information, regional brand recognition strategies, new client/
industry targeting, SWOT analyses, the Firm’s image, and acquisitions – as directed
Administrative tasks and responsibilities – as directed
Produce mistake-free work
