Over Half A Century Ago

The year was 1947, and Rollin Mabie and William J. Bauman were ready to join forces to forge a great partnership. Their aspiration— contribute to the economic growth and well-being of this region, its communities, the businesses and its people by sharing their accounting expertise, passion for professionalism, dedication to quality and excellent service. Locally owned and operated, our connection to the communities we serve continues, long after other firms throughout this area have been acquired, merged or simply disappeared.

Originally named Rollin Mabie and Company, the firm operated offices in Eau Claire and established a River Falls office in 1954. Following Rollin Mabie's death in 1974, surviving partners William J. Bauman and Richard A. Rathke changed the firm's name eventually to WJ Bauman Associates, Ltd. , Certified Public Accountants.

Going Beyond Traditional Tax and Accounting

Over the years, our values and commitment to making our clients successful has never wavered. The substantial growth
of the firm and the expansion of our services beyond the traditional tax and auditing areas lead us to change the firm’s name to better illustrate the type of work we are doing and direction we are taking for our clients' best interests.
