Municipal Consultant 

Bauman Associates is searching for experienced municipal clerks and/or treasurers who are looking for a change in their careers. This role works directly with municipalities to consult and outsource their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of general ledgers and debt service

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Assistance with the Budget Process and capital planning

  • Communicate effectively with clients including questions regarding GL account classifications

  • Prepare federal reporting

  • Review and assist with the payroll process, 1099 process, financial statements, and adjusting journal entries

  • Consult on policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 5 + years of the municipal clerk or treasurer experience

  • Knowledge of municipal software

  • A passion for client service

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
