Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily audit engagements including but not limited to managing budgets, planning, fieldwork, and completing financial statements.

  • Knowledge of GAAP, cash, tax, or other specialized accounting frameworks; unique or specialized accounting principles; and financial statement formatting.

  • Communicate effectively with audit managers on issues, progress, timelines, etc.

  • Identify and recommend solutions to arising risks. 

  • Foster and fortify relationships with clients.

  • Collaborate with the audit team and principals on various projects.

  • Other tasks as assigned

Compensation will depend upon factors, including experience, education, and professional credentials.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with an active CPA license.

  • 5+ years of audit experience in public accounting (municipality, nonprofit, or employee benefit plan experience a plus but not required)

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability and availability for limited travel

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
